Williamsburg Waterfront—This exciting Waterfront Project is situated overlooking the East River and Lower Manhattan, the site is comprised of an assemblage of lots totaling 238,000 square feet allowing for a mixed use complex of approximately 1,700,000 square feet. Located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg, our concept was to create a project that would improve the waterfront and provide a wide variety of spaces for the public such as, lunchtime sunning areas, an esplanade for strolling along the river's edge, gathering places for public events, and quiet interior courts. The plan takes as its theme an acceptance of all that is desirable about New York's basic pattern of development. Included are the City's system of streets and blocks, its prevalent buildings forms, its density, its mixed land use and its efficient transportation systems. The objective has been to refine and develop these familiar elements of the New York's environment and to adapt them to the unique opportunities presented by a magnificent waterfront site.
